Acne is a one of famous skin problems which occurs when oil and dead skin cells become trapped within a hair follicle, creating a plug within the pore. Zits, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples are other famous terms used for acne.It also occurs due to the overproduction of oil by the oil glands of the skin

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne is the number 1 skin disorder in the United States. It affects more than 60 million American, most of whom are between the ages of 11 and 25, although it can affect people of any age.

Acne usually occur on the face. But it is also can be found in arms, back, shoulders, chest, and buttocks. When severe, acne can lead to serious and permanent scarring. Even less severe cases can lead to scarring.

The more severe cases of acne tend to occur most often in men, because they produce more of the male hormones that stimulate acne formation.Women with a lot of body or facial hair, and those who have irregular periods, may be at increased risk of acne. These women may want to have their hormone levels evaluated by a physician.

Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, it always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer. People often refer to redness as “scarring,” but fortunately it usually isn’t in the permanent sense. It’s just a mark that takes months to fade if left entirely alone.

Treating acne requires patience and perseverance.
